The characteristic nature of chiffon is that light passes through like tissue paper. The sheerness means even a large scarf may be scrunched or cocooned into a smaller size (1/3 of its original) and then expanded (butterfly effect) as required. These scarves therefore work as both a subtle day look scrunched up or as a night-time centrepiece: draped over shoulders. Contrast with white pants or blend with a similar colour palette.
